What is RPG?
The Global Posture Reeducation (RPG) is a scientific method of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the neuro-musculo-skeletal system. The method was created in France, in 1980, by Philippe Souchard, based on the principles of individuality, and overall causality, being constantly updated by the studies carried out by the author and his collaborators.
Structured on the basis of organization in muscle chains and the inter-relationship between the parts of the musculoskeletal system, allows to address the problem of each patient in a unique way.
Each individual manifests the same pathology in a personal way, so there is no pathology but people with pathologies. The muscular system consists of static or tonic muscles, involved in stability and dynamic, responsible for movement. Muscles dynamic, if not used, tend to lose their tone. The muscles of the static contrary, when not used, lose their elasticity, becoming rigid and shortened. Thus, both become weak. The RPG thinks in the patient like a functional unit, using postures treatment, global and progressive, in order to act on the tonic muscle, reaching a therapy that allows discovering the source of the problem, eliminating it.
RPG adapt the treatment to each person and his specific problem, so it may be applied to a large number of cases. In general, it is an effective tool in the treatment and correction of postural and body alignment. Recover muscle flexibility, eliminate pain and restore function, based on the important connection between form, structure and function in the study and treatment of injuries / diseases of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system.
